Permanent Accommodation
The following is a list of websites and contacts to assist you with finding permanent accommodation.
Unfortunately it can be difficult to find rental accomodation in the ACT at the present. This is due to high demand in rental properties. Please keep this in mind when searching for a new home. If you find a place you like, you should put in an application on the same day or risk missing out.
Real Estate Websites
The two main sources where rental properties are advertised is in the
local newspaper, The Canberra Times and the local Real Estate
web site known as Allhomes.
The best days to look in The Canberra Times are Wednesday and
Saturday. Check both the Property Guide and the classifieds section
for private listings and share accommodation. The Allhomes
website is updated on a regular basis and it is a good idea to check
this each day.
Most Real Estate offices are open only on Saturday mornings of a weekend.
